Junk Week!

It's time to send your clean junk into school, for construction of our little towns this Thursday.
This is our storeroom after just one day! Don't worry...it'll all be coming back home as a prized piece of 'design work' later this week!!
Thanks for your time and cooperation in collecting all of your child's bits and pieces.

Welcome Back!

It was lovely to see all the smiling faces for the beginning of term 4 today! Can you believe it ... there are only 10 weeks left and your babies will be off to Year 1?

I asked the children today for everyone to bring in a new glue stick, as these are a lot easier to use than the tubs of glue and unfortunately the school does not supply them for all to use. So could you please send one in at your earliest convenience?

We have lots happening again this term - here are some early dates for your calendars...
Friday 19th October - KC perform at the Infants assembly. 11:50am
Wednesday 31st October - Grandparents Day 9:30 - 11:40 for Years K-2

More information to follow on these events.

Thanks :)

Reply to this post if you would like to join a table...don't be shy!

Parents helping Parents!

I've had a few parents communicate to me that they are experiencing difficulty posting comments on this blog.
If possible, could Rebecca Murray and/or Tracy Gill please post instructions on how to join and reply to a post?
This would help me out and the parents having difficulties.
Thanks

BIRTHDAY TIME IN KC!

Happy Birthday to Cooper for today - Thursday 23rd.
We enjoyed your yummy cakes today! (Thanks Mum!)
And you looked fantastic in your new BULLDOGS jersey!

Happy Birthday to Ethan M for tomorrow - Friday 24th.
We hope you have a great birthday tomorrow.

From all of your friends in KC!

Book Week Parade

WOW... What a great day!

The children all looked fantastic in their costumes and they were all excited for their first
 Primary School Book Week Parade. The weather gods didn't disappoint us either.
Above is a quick snap from after the lunch break, so I'm sorry if there are a few bits of
costume missing.

I'm working on it!

Dear Parents,
It has come to my attention today, that some of you have been trying to comment on this blog, but I may have 'set' something incorrect which is inhibiting you from doing so!

I'm hoping this is the reason, as we have had over 120 views to the blog and I was concerned that I was the only one here!

Thanks for your patience

"And the winner is..." Performance

Just a reminder that all students have the opportunity to see a live performance at school this Thursday. The cost is $6. We have 6 children in KC who haven't paid as yet. If you are intending on paying for your child, the cut-off day for payments is WEDNESDAY. Payments will not be accepted on Thursday.

(Would it be helpful, if I listed here the names of children who need to pay?? Or is that too personal? Please comment.)
Thanks.

Book Fair

KC will have a opportunity to visit the Book Fair in our Library tomorrow, during their usual Library time.
If you would like to send some money along with them to purchase a book of their choice, you can. There is lots to choose from for under $10. Alteratively, you can visit the Book Fair with your child on Wednesday after the parade.

Term 3, Week 6

Hi All,

Another busy week coming up for KC at CSPS.
This week is BOOK WEEK!
We have our parade on Wednesday, from 9:45am ~ Champions Read ~
Students should come dressed as a book character or as a Champion, past or present.
The parade will be held on the back oval, in the morning sunshine!
Following the parade, visitors are invited to stay on for lunch from 11 - 11:40am.
Some children have already pre-ordered their sausage sizzle for Wednesday.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We have a brand new size 6 school jacket in our room that I found left on our veranda. Unfortunatly it does not have a name in it. I am reluctant to send it to lost property because I thought there was a pretty good chance it belonged to someone in KC or KM.
Welcome
Welcome, Parents and Students to our KC blog spot.
I recently observed one of my colleagues using a blog to communicate with parents and students in his class and thought - What a great idea... I may have to steal that!
So here we are.
I plan on using the next few weeks as a trial, to see if this is an effective means of communication and sharing for our class.
Some examples of posts might be:
* Reminders for excursion or performance payments
* Reminders of upcoming events within the school
* Birthday messages
* Congratulations to individual students for Silver Awards or other achievements
* A place where parents can ask open questions (visable to the whole group) to clarify class procedures. eg. Homework
* Lost and Found notices! (We've had a lot of cases lately where children have accidently taken eachothers hats/jackets/etc.
I'm sure this means of communication will work for some, but maybe not for all. Hence, the trial!
Thanks for your anticipated support
